Construction, Building and Allied Trades Level 1 and Level 2
Whether you just want to #LevelUP your skillset, or you just need those final few credits for your NCEA Level 1 or 2, here at Kershaw Training we want to help you achieve those goals, whatever they may be.
Hours: Mon-Thurs 9–2.30
Duration: Level 1 – 10 weeks
Duration: Level 2 – 12 weeks
Duration combined: 22 weeks
Class ratio: 12 students to 1 tutor
Intakes: Feb, May, August

What you get in our FREE Building & Construction course
We supply all our tauira with BusIT cards to help with getting to and from campus and you walk away with an NZQA National Certificate in Building Construction and Allied Trades Level 1 and 2
But we also provide you with your own tool belt, safety PPE including workboots
We align our courses to coincide with WINTEC intakes so when you finish with us you can choose to either go into employment or continue to #LevelUP and go into a course with WINTEC with minimal downtime… and yes we pay and help you get your drivers license when you complete the course.

What can I do after I’ve finished the course?
Your goal is our goal at Kershaw training so whether you want to continue to #LevelUP with a Level 4 Cert in Building, get into an apprenticeship, start employment as a hammer hand or find a career in trades, we are here to help you get where you want to be.
Times are a bit tough at the moment?
At Kershaw training, we know what it’s like, we have all been there, but don’t let tough times stop you from achieving where you need to be.
We can help you and the whanau with house assistance, allowances, counselling, hauora or even support with youth justice matters if things got a bit crazy. We are here to help you
So I can develop & sell my projects I make on course?
Yes, cheese boards retail for around $50, coffee tables, even making your own deck chair.
In the course though we do also build tapu wai tower which are donated to Marae for water storage
What else do we get to do?
We are like whānau, so we work hard and play even harder. Depending on the season and availability like any tradie getting out there with the work crew is essential for building unity, so we do stuff like boxing, waka ama, mau rakau, go karting and kai tahi.
